Bharti Airtel In Seychelles

On August 11, 2010, Bharti Airtel announced that it would acquire 100% stake in Telecom Seychelles taking its global presence to 19 countries. Deal amount is disclosed as Rs. 288 crore (US$ 62.5 million). Telecom Seychelles which began operations in 1998 by launching mobile services and offered 3G mobile and integrated wireline services across the Seychelles under the Airtel brand. The company has over 57 percent share of the mobile market of Seychelles.
